Louisville Wedding Photographer Miranda and Kyle

I truly do not even know where to begin with these two.  They are kind and so sweet and truly know how to have fun together. They are just a joy to be around and I have known that from my very first conversation with Miranda. I’m not sure how many of you know but I myself was a Marine wife for many years and Troy and I spent our first chapter in married life living the Military life. It was some of the best times of our life as well as some of the hardest. We are forever grateful for our time in and because of that we don’t take family time for granted. Several years ago I worked a wedding on Thanksgiving weekend and thought to myself I can’t do this anymore. We almost always have family in town and I needed to spend that week with them. So when I got Miranda’s wedding inquiry (which was the sweetest thing ever and full over their story) I thought Rachael…you can’t do this. I know it sounds amazing and she is so sweet but you promised yourself family time!  So I said ok self but we are going to have one phone call first.  Well that was all it took to know that on the day of Miranda and Kyle’s wedding I would be among family. A different type of course but if you have spent anytime around military folks you know that after lots of time away from your actual immediate family, your friends become your family.  After one phone call I knew this day would be one that I did not want to miss. Miranda and I just clicked. It wasn’t until many months later that I was lucky enough to meet Kyle and shoot their engagement session. All that did was remind me exactly why I had chosen to be their for there big day and hopefully why they chose me to photograph their wedding. We were cut from the same cloth! I knew this day was going to be full of so much joy and fun.

I showed up the day of their wedding at Tybee Island wedding chapel greeted with warm hugs and excitement from both Miranda and Kyle. They were so excited for this day to finally be here and some of the most grateful people I had ever met to have to many loved ones spend their holiday weekend with them for their Savannah wedding. Spending the day with them documenting the beginning of their journey felt like a day among my friends and family. There was so much love that filled the air this day I truly felt I was meant to be there with them. Im so excited to share this day with you. Full of laughs, joy ,a lot of tears and even a secret trip to the beach to catch the sunsetting just before they said I do. Congrats Miranda and Kyle, thank you for choosing me.
